About Our Gluten-free Origins

Amanda here, Joshua & I have been baking and shipping really delicious mallow-topped cakes for many years. There is nothing better than being a part of your celebrations and now we are doing that for your whole life, with a focus on good-for-your-gut food and treats. 

After Joshua's 20th crohn's disease related surgery in late 2022 we simplified, focused, and added Switch Bakery to the party.  With the every switching menu we are swapping things around, switching things up -- from the menu to the delivery method, your expectations of what gluten-free food tastes like to what a sandwich could be. 

These days, you can find us and our delicious bread, cake, cookies, etc... in a few places! The cafe is located at 1016 Cedar St in Downtown Santa Cruz. The cafe's current schedule (as of September 22, 2026) is Wednesdays from 10am-5pm, Thursday & Friday from 7am-3pm, Saturday and Sunday from 8am-3pm. We are also still participating in the Santa Cruz Community Farmers Markets -- find us on Wednesdays at the downtown market, and two Sundays a month at the Live Oak market.
